The Author

Historical Accuracy and Creative Interpretation
No historical novel can reproduce the past exactly. Records are incomplete. Voices are lost. Everyday details are rarely preserved with the clarity we might wish for.
This work follows three guiding principles:

- Speculation is signposted through tone and narrative framing.
- Emotional truth is treated as seriously as documented fact.
Dates, public events, and institutional structures are checked against reliable sources. Social customs, language patterns, and material culture are researched to ensure plausibility.
