The overlay text: 'From the author of the Corpse Door' heads the image. Beneath the authors name Rich Odell. At the base of the cover the Novels title Finding Mabel.

When a senior police sergeant uncovers a file that should not exist, she does what she has always done, she investigates. But the trail does not behave like a normal case. The records are incomplete. The witnesses are uncertain. The name at the centre of it all belongs to a woman who seems to stand just beyond official history.

Mabel Shirley is not missing.

She is simply unrecorded.

What begins as duty becomes pursuit, and pursuit becomes something quieter and more dangerous, recognition.
